My Passion
Growing up, I was always the person my friends turned to for help in hard times. When I majored in Psychology, my professors noticed the same characteristics my friends had appreciated, and they encouraged me to pursue a master’s degree in counseling.
I began my career at Sharp Mesa Vista, where I led group therapy and taught cognitive behavioral therapy and dialetical behavioral therapy.
In my free time I love to swim, go on walks, and hike with my wonderful husband. I’m also involved with Fellowship of Christian Athletes and the children’s ministry at my church.
My Approach
Warm, creative, and inviting are characteristics that I try to foster in my work with clients. I thrive on helping others and cultivating a safe environment. I want therapy to be a place where you can share your deepest desires, hurts, traumas, and victories.
As a therapist, my goal is to bring healing, joy, comfort, and restoration to marginalized people groups through spirituality, cross-cultural sensitivity, art, music, movement, experiential, and existential therapy.
