My Passion
Losing a parent at a young age and growing up in a blended family showed me how profoundly trauma can impact us - both individually and as a family unit. It was family therapy that helped us repair old wounds, feel empathy for each other, and strengthen our bonds.
Through this experience, God instilled a passion in me to assist others in restoring relationships, healing trauma, and creating thriving families. I love the people I get to meet and the privilege of holding space for the stories they share with me. I am so honored to witness the brave ways my clients show up and teach me about vulnerability, compassion, and the resiliency of the human spirit.
When I'm not working, I enjoy volunteering at my children’s school, leading worship at my church, doing puzzles, baking cookies, connecting with friends, and being active outdoors with my family!
My Approach
Having personally experienced the value of telling my story to a safe other, I work to create a deeply safe place from which to explore even the most distressing concerns and difficult situations.
Using an experiential, emotionally focused therapy model that emphasizes the here and now process, we reveal and interrupt the negative patterns that erode feelings of safety, security and connection within our most cherished relationships.
Whether it’s to overcome life obstacles, heal past trauma, recover from loss, or reconnect couples and families in distress, I’m here to help my clients recognize, own, and eventually express their needs for love, support, protection and comfort.
